Gold

Gold is a lustrous, precious metal ore found in the harder rock formations of Starsand Island, typically requiring more effort to reach than common metals like copper or iron. Prized across all human cultures for its beauty, rarity, and resistance to corrosion, gold has served as currency, ornamentation, and a symbol of status throughout history. On the island, gold deposits represent a meaningful mining milestone.

Gold is smelted into Gold Ingots, which are used to craft Gold Sheets, Gold Wire, and high-tier items including tools and equipment that require precious metal components. It is one of the more valuable raw materials on the island, so players should handle their gold carefully and prioritise the crafting recipes that benefit most from its unique conductive and decorative properties.
