Iron

Iron is a dark, dense metal ore mined from iron-rich rock formations on Starsand Island. Iron marked a revolutionary step in metallurgy when it superseded bronze as the dominant metal for tools and weapons, and in the island's crafting progression it serves the same role — a key mid-to-late material that unlocks stronger, more durable items than copper or bronze can provide.

Iron is smelted into Iron Ingots, which are used to craft Iron Sheets, tools, and a wide range of equipment that requires greater strength and durability than earlier metals. Mining iron is a significant milestone in island progression, opening access to crafting recipes that meaningfully upgrade a player's capabilities across farming, combat, and construction.
