Copper

Copper is a reddish-brown metal ore mined from copper-bearing rock deposits found across Starsand Island. One of the first metals ever smelted and worked by humans, copper marked the transition from the Stone Age and remains one of the most useful early-game metals due to its ease of extraction and versatility. On the island, copper nodes can be found in rocky terrain and hillside mining spots.

Copper is smelted into Copper Ingots at a furnace, which are then used to craft tools, components, and equipment. It also combines with Tin to produce Bronze, a stronger alloy that unlocks the next tier of crafting. Players should mine copper early and keep a steady stockpile, as it feeds into a long chain of progressive crafting recipes.
