Its open waters are home to dozens of marine species — from common coastal fish to deep-sea rarities that test even experienced anglers. The ocean changes with the seasons and weather, making each visit a potentially different fishing experience.

Ocean fishing is unlocked after players have some experience with freshwater zones, and it rewards those willing to invest in the right gear, bait, and skills. Species like the Dorado require Meat Bait, while others respond to Bug or Veggie baits. The Deep Sea Expert skill is particularly valuable here, unlocking access to harder-to-reach ocean species earlier in your progression.

The Ocean is indispensable for Islandpedia completion, containing the largest number of unique fish of any single zone. High-value ocean species also provide premium cooking ingredients and strong sell prices, making ocean fishing one of the most profitable activities for dedicated fishing-focused players on Starsand Island.
