Wooden Fishing Rod

The Wooden Fishing Rod is the starter fishing tool in Starsand Island, crafted at Worktable I from basic materials. Simple but functional, it enables players to cast a line into the island's rivers, lakes, and coastal waters for the first time. The Wooden Fishing Rod is the gateway to the fishing system — one of the most expansive and rewarding activities available — and its early availability makes fishing accessible from the very start of the game.

While the Wooden Fishing Rod is limited in performance compared to later rods like the Chrono Rod, it can catch the majority of fish species available in early-game areas. Players looking to develop their fishing profession and catch rarer specimens will eventually upgrade to more advanced rods, but the Wooden Fishing Rod remains a reliable companion for casual fishing throughout the early and mid-game stages.
