Softwood Planks

Softwood Planks are smooth, processed timber boards cut from Softwood logs at a workbench or sawmill on Starsand Island. Converting raw softwood into planks makes the timber suitable for building walls, floors, furniture, and the many wooden crafting recipes that require shaped, uniform boards rather than raw logs. They are the most accessible building timber on the island and one of the first materials players produce.

Softwood Planks are used in basic buildings, furniture, early-tier tool handles, and a vast range of other crafting recipes across the island. Their abundance and ease of production make them the go-to timber material for any crafting need before hardwood or premium wood becomes available, and players will rely on softwood planks throughout the early-to-mid game.
