Musk Cocoon

Musk Cocoon is a rare and fragrant material produced by musk deer kept on Starsand Island. The cocoon-like structure forms as part of the animal's natural secretion process, encasing the precious musk in a protective casing that preserves its potency. Musk deer are elusive and require specific care, making this material one of the harder animal products to obtain consistently.

Musk Cocoon is processed to yield refined Musk, the distilled fragrant essence used in high-end crafting applications. It may also be used directly in certain recipes that call for the whole cocoon rather than processed musk. Its rarity and the effort required to raise musk deer make Musk Cocoon one of the most exotic animal products in the game.
