Soil Expert

Soil Expert is a foundational farming skill that improves the underlying quality of your crop plots. By understanding the land at a deeper level, you gain benefits to soil retention, fertilizer effectiveness, or base crop quality — resulting in healthier plants and better harvests from every tile of farmland you cultivate on the island.

Soil Expert is a strong early farming investment that improves returns across your entire operation without requiring any additional daily effort. It's especially valuable for players who rely on fertilizers or soil enhancers to maximize crop growth, and it pairs well with Green Thumb and Speed Growth to create an efficient, high-yield farming foundation.
