Slingshot

The Slingshot is the first ranged weapon unlocked in Starsand Island, awarded to players who reach the Apprentice Explorer tier in the exploration profession. A classic improvised projectile weapon, the Slingshot uses Simple Pellets as ammunition to strike enemies from a safe distance. While modest in damage compared to later weapons, it opens up the ranged combat playstyle early in the game and is invaluable for engaging threats without entering melee range.

Once obtained, the Slingshot requires a supply of Simple Pellets crafted at the Ammo Maker. It is later replaced by the Golden Slingshot and eventually bow-type weapons, but remains a useful tool for players early in their exploration progression. Advancing through the Explorer profession unlocks more powerful ranged options, so the Slingshot serves as the foundational step toward a fully ranged-capable playstyle.
